Bernd Mueller is an architect with a passion for art and photography. Since his childhood, he has enjoyed the perception of his environment and used it as a resource for his architectural and photographic works. He is a third generation architect and grew up in Germany. His passion for international and multicultural cities led to the immigration to Canada and the USA.

Bernd received his first camera at the age of 15 and won a photo competition 3 years later. He studied architecture in Germany and the USA. A design studio about the ‘Poetic Image’ at SCI-Arc in Los Angeles had a strong impact on his photography later on. As a self-employed architect in Germany, in partnership with his father and later on his own, he designed and built residential, commercial and institutional buildings. The documentation of his architectural work with a large format camera inspired him to continue with photography privately.

In 2006, Bernd moved to North America and got the chance to live and work as an architect in Toronto, Montreal, San Francisco, NYC, Washington DC, and finally Los Angeles.
